Rubber stamping with Glue Pad by Tsukineko

Initially I didn’t know what to expect from this product and was a little hesitant about using my rubber stamps to tap all over the glue pad. But I am so glad I gave this glue pad a try because this is one of my favorite tools. The glue pad is very simple to use but the finish product is far from anything simple and can be used with many mediums like ultra fine glitter, chalk, powdered pigments, gold leafing and more. Simply tap your rubber stamp on the glue pad; same method as if you were inking with ink pad, stamp your image and quickly apply the medium over the stamped image while the glue is still wet and tap off excess. (See images)

In below the image ultra fine glitter was used on the red flowers and flock medium was used with the blue flower image.

My photography skills do not show justice to these finishes. The glue pad offers so many possibilities to give your project a really unique look and feel. I also cannot stop admiring the amazing finish and consequently earning 5 out of 5 stars. Not only is this product user friendly but it’s also easy clean up with a all-purpose rubber cleaner. (I use rubber stamp cleaner) It’s a bit pricy for just .5 oz of glue but it is worth every penny. Thank you for reading and join me in 2011 when we take a look at Inkssentials Craft Sheet
